Investigating the Character and Reputation of
Personnel and Venders
To be successful, a background investigation program must pass several tests. The program must first satisfy state and federal labor regulations. Then it must uniformily follow a company plan to avoid allegations of discrimination. But most of all, it needs to protect a company's assets, personnel, and integrity. The desired effect of investigating the veracity, character and reputation of employment applicants and venders prior to contracting is to create a profitable, healthy and safe working environment for the whole organization. Planned background screening must state, as a matter of policy, the undesirable personality characteristics that you as an employer wish to exclude from the workplace. Ordering a Background Investigation
Careful documentation should be made by management to support fair and equitable hiring and contract award conclusions. It is this documentation of fair hiring practices that will defend the employer against false charges of hiring discrimination. It may also serve to defend against negligent hiring suits. Details concerning our methods of investigation and documentation are set out in their sections. Registered clients may download the Personnel Security Questionaires from our homepage. They includes the IQM Work Order; and Candidate's Authorization and Release Form with the Fair Credit Reporting Acknowledgement form attached.. Registered clients may complete and forward these to IQM. The forms are built around a propritary data base, so the structure must be protected by us. The may be placed on a diskette, completed off-line by the applicant, and the diskette expressed or the file electronically transferred to IQM for processing. Arrangements can be made for a registered client to have a dedicated and secure site to allow for electronic transfer data.
